    Hello,

On 9/6/1941 two Wellington bombers of 9 Sqn were shot down by Flak near Zeebrugge,
If possible I would like to have more info about 9 Sqn, airfield location, target that day, crews of the 2 bombers (3 aviators have a known grave - lest we forget)

    Thanks,

    Regards,

    Cnock

    Just FYI:

The announcement of the Mosquito to the British public did not happen until over a full year later: 25 September 1942
    - after the The Oslo Mosquito raid on the Gestapo Headquarters Building - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Oslo_Mosquito_raid

So the early days of the Mosquito are interesting reads.

First film release about the Mossie.

Another good read is all the Mark Variants of the Mosquito.
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/De_Havilland_Mosquito#Variants

It was not uncommon for several types to be tasked together for different roles in the same mission.
    - Escort groups, high altitude bombing and Tactical bombing and Ground attacks, just to mention a few...

Someday someone is going to be nice and post a complete list of code names for escort / serrate etc etc. operations.
That would be a good read.
