My Father served on the LST-606 during WWII and I noted that his title was GM3C(T)....What is the significance of the "T" in this designation??
    Thanks, Colleen Marie

Thanks Takao. I suspected as much, but didn't want to mislead anyone.

HTH, and its no big deal. With military acronyms, it is hard to tell. For as common as the "T" was in World War II US naval ratings, there are hardly any websites that mention it, as such, it is an often asked question.
