    ....by Stephen Tanner.A pretty good read.The book is about the crews of damaged Allied planes (predominantly U.S. bombers) that landed in Switzerland when the only other option was landing in Axis territory.The book covers the treatment of the crews along with some of the politics of the situation.A brief history of Swiss neutrality is also covered.What I found to be a bit staggering was the eventual size of the Allied bombing raids that were conducted late in the war.I can't imagine what 1000 B-17's and B-24's would look or sound like.
