A Catholic is still a Christian, right? Or did the Roman Catholic Church also ban the belief in Jesus?

I'm an atheist, in that I have absolutely no religion whatsoever. I don't even believe there is "something" out there, like many people nowadays do.

Now that I've managed to offend everyone, let me say that I was born and raised a Catholic. once you're a catholic, you're a Cathloic, although my formal participation has been "off" for a very long time. Funny Me262, my wife has the same problem with Catholics and Christians. I have to keep reminding her we are the original Christians (I'm sure I'll be corrected about this one from a lot of you!)

I don´t know: that´s the shortest description of my denomination. (Arik, my son, is worried about me - he is very Orthodox - that´s pubertal hormonal play I guess plus he is shy vs. girls and has thus an alibi).
