Has any thought been given to marking a members post as a retired or no longer active member as has been done with those discharged? It may help new members from replying to a post of someone who is no longer with us especially as they may be unfamiliar with the ebb and flow of the forum.
I'm not sure if it can be done without a lot of daily involvement by the staff. Titles are based on numbers of posts, not regularity of them. Not a bad idea but not one that would easily implemented
Fair enough, I was thinking of those who formally leave but you guys know what can be done better than I. Thanks for the reply.
Too flippin true..id be retired ...active...retired..active...sulking...awol.retired active ..indignant..retired and gone off on one...
We could just announce that a member has "done an urqh". That would give him leave to return when the fancy strikes, and let others know he's off for now. By the way, nice to see you around again, urqh.
You can go off people....Back to the front then....errr lou point me to the front old chap...or Icould fly there...urqh flies back to front...sounds about right then..
