RH PAL 36

Hey WW2 Forums! This is my first post so please excuse my lack of knowledge

I received this knife from my great-aunt, she's a hoarder so the knife isn't in very good condition as you can see but I would like to find out more information about it.

From what I can find online it was a commonly used knife during WW2 and I think it was used in the navy

If anyone could tell me more about this knife that would be awesome

 

I forgot to mention it came with a sheath too
