All I am starting this thread because in the half year or so that I have been wandering this forum, I have noticed that sometimes Rogues will vanish, only to reappear much later, if at all. Several Rogues have given us notice when they are going underground for a while, but I have been left wondering about the disappearance of several others.

Soooo . . . . . if you are going to be away from this forum for more than is customary for you, or if you are going away forever, please add to this thread and let us know!

    Thanks!

(Note to Mods: I hope I put this in the most appropriate place. If not please feel free to relocate it!)

Ive tried a few times...Ive left so many dummies on the floor Otto must be collecting em for Oxfam. But then you just take a peek....your busy, you keep peeking though...you ignore...you fume at times...you peek again...then you just realise your addicted to the site and even though folk may wish youd keep your dummy in mouth now, you just cant help it...Its special.

Works for me, as I like knowing when some of my favourite people are gone and to know they will be back or to be able to wish them well.

Or we could just leave a message on our profile message area (which I didn't think of when I went away last), then if someone was looking for us they would go to our profile and it wouldn't develop into a long running thread as we would have the option of deleting it. Others could leave a message for us to catch up with on our return.

Otto and the Mods willl probably make a recommendation.

Glad you brought up something I have also thought about, dg.

urqh - I know what you mean - it is a special place. I know I keep hanging out even when I have no posts to make.

I still visit often and read much - but work has me so busy I have very little time to come up with much to offer. Though I make sure to frequent almost daily, if even only for a brief bit, to get some kind of learning done.

The correct spelling is 'zarcasm', sir, 'zarcasm'.

By the way, I'm putting an update in the correct thread, in order to avoid threadjacking ;)

Sorry, can't comply. Much as I see myself as the New Pope, Die Religion ist das Opium des Volkes after all.

    Hahahahaha!

My favourite duo! In this case in "Il Compagno Don Camillo"! What a lovely series, I love these films from the 60s!

Don Camillo's face in the pic above is unbelievable, he really is about to jump but has to grin and bear it :D

They usually have them out for Christmas, here is the collector English version don't know about the Finnish subtitles, that's another challenge, but as you say you may check at your local stores.

Amazon.co.uk: Don Camillo 6-DVD Box Set [1953] [English subtitles]: Fernandel, Gino Cervi, Vera Talchi, Franco Interlenghi, Sylvie, Charles Vissière, Clara Auteri Pepe, Italo Clerici, Peppino De Martino, Carlo Duse, Manuel Gary, Leda Gloria, Carmine

it's a bit expensive though, they usually sell for 40 euros here for the whole collection , not £100 pounds
