    Interesting you should have posted this - I've just acquired the boxed-set DVD of Rosselini's war trilogy but have yet to watch them.........

    I had never even heard of Rosellini until the other day. But I am impressed and will be catching the other two ASAP. Thanks again Forum for pointing me towards HULU!

    When I first met my wife in December 1947, this film was one of the first I took her to see simply because it showed life in wartime Italy just as I knew it.
