Hello. I am in the process of transcribing my father's 'Homeward Bound' journey at the end of his service in the Pacific Fleet in 1944-1946 (the diary is mainly moaning about waiting for a ship home and what films he's seen!). He was a matelot and served aboard HMS Salvictor - a salvor. There are a couple of abbreviations in the diary and cannot for the life of me find what these refer to. One is A.P.O.K. (which seems to be mentioned when he or his mates were given leave to transfer from one place to another), and the other is A.S.G. (my Dad complained that his ASG has been put back two months). If anyone could assist I'd be very grateful. I have several pictures from the period and will happily upload if you have a section on the site for this kind of thing? Sorry if I've posted this in the wrong place.
