    Russell Wallace Larsen, 87, of Bryan,Ohio and formerly of Greenville, Mich., died Saturday evening, July 26, 2008, at Fountain Park Retirement Community, Bryan.
    Born July 16, 1921, at McBride, Mich., to Lena (Nielsen) and Peter Larsen, he married Margaret Pauline ÒPollyÓ Kain on April 11, 1942, at Sand Lake, Mich., and she preceded him in death on June 25, 2008.
    A graduate of Greenville High School, he served in the U.S. Army and was a decorated veteran of World War II.
    He and his wife operated Larsen Caged Egg Factory west of Greenville and beginning in 1951 he worked as a machinist at Federal-Mogul Greenville for 40 years. He also helped with maintenance duties in his wifeÕs business, Polly's Beauty Shop and Apparel Store in downtown Greenville.
    After retirement, he and his wife moved to North Carolina and then, in 2005, moved to northwest Ohio to be closer to family.
    Surviving are a daughter, Kathy (and husband, Bill) Small of Defiance; a son, Patrick (and wife, Vickie) Larsen of Greenville; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
    In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his parents; an infant son, Randy Larsen; four sisters, Mabel Christensen, Hazel Christiansen, Helen Guinnup and Martha Harding; and two brothers, Elvin Larsen and Howard Larsen.
    Visitation will be Friday evening from 6-8 p.m. in the Brown-Teman & Christiansen Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 511 S. Franklin St., Greenville.
    Funeral services will be Saturday at 11 a.m. in the funeral home with the Rev. Ken Harger, pastor of Shiloh Community Church, to officiate. Burial with full military honors will follow at St. Charles Catholic Cemetery.
    Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association or the Greenville Area Community Foundation.
    Local arrangements were by Krill Funeral Home in Bryan.
