I just beat the game yesterday actually, fun game IMO, not the greatest thing ever but fun none the less. Personally I'd like to see more games that let you play a WWII resistance movement.

I've heard it is just an excuse to put as few clothes as they can on a French woman and kill Nazis at the same time...is that true?

I got it for the PC and after playing it for maybe 30 minutes (upon its release) I haven't picked it up again. From my quick browsing of the game, the previews/talk were much MUCH superior to the actual gameplay.

Gameplay is rather choppy - controls kinda suck, choppy movement when running and when driving cars. Sorta reminds me of Wolfenstein. Compared to what I was expecting the game to be, it has so far been largely disappointing.

Nope, the original description and screenshots made it look like the next best thing since bread and butter. But, like many games before it, it fails - miserably - straight from the start. The idea is there, it just fails to deliver.

Plenty of recommendations, of course! Just depends on what type of gameplay he likes (First Person Shooters, Strategy, etc).

First Person Shooters set in WW2 are pretty limited to the Call of Duty series, and (of lesser quality) the Medal of Honor Series. The Wolfenstein franchise is more of an Nazi Occult take on WW2 - Nazi Zombies, science experiments etc. Another good one, that I play frequently, is Red Orchestra which is set on the Russian front (and Multipalyer only). Its much much more realistic then the other shooters, with gun sway etc. Its tougher to get kills, takes a little bit to get used to the controls, but is simply an amazing game. It also comes with freed Add-ons, namely Darkest Hour which introduces us to the Americans and British, with improved gameplay in the Normandy Campaign. 'Red Orchestra 2' is also being released (sometime soon I believe) with an updated graphics engine and even more improvements. Red Orchestra is also much cheaper then the other games (I got it for $10).

If he likes Strategy games like Company of Heroes I would also highly recommend Men of War though it is much more difficult (but also more realistic then CoH). For Grand Strategy, Hearts of Iron 3 is the best but is for a real Wargamer who likes global conflict and now flashy graphics.

Just cleared it on the 360.
Good game,GTA meets assassins creed meets WWII.

Its fun, shootings spot on,mega value for money, great main character,a good perk system and nothings really broken,
Its has got gas mask wearing nazis and double barrelled tanks but who cares.
Tits are well done and the burlesqe show in the secret room downstairs is definately not suited for younger players but any game you can get 50 hours out of has to be a good buy.

Not sure if it would be too hot for pc because the dead zone with pc controllers can be too small.
Like i said,50 hours and i still havent done everything.
