    ....2 July 1967..my wife's uncle dies in one of the biggest and deadliest '''ambushes'' in USMC history-Operation Buffalo
    ..I remember reading the book on it and B Company being just about decimated...I never knew he was with B Co. until I received his letters from my sister in law....
    ..I highly recommend Operation Buffalo by Keith Nolan for a detailed look at the battle/troops/area/etc
    .....the ''main area'' nearby was Con Thien where the Marines were like fish in a barrel --where the enemy would fire arty ''all the time'' and the USMC couldn't go after the guns
