Glad you like Lemmy Kai too. I love the Roadcrew! I guess that deserves a metalhead salute :D

Hello Otto, You say here that you can Salute three times per day. Is this per 24 hours or is there a time in which it resets. I Saluted twice yesterday and once this morning, but can no longer salute someone I feel deserves it. Does this mean that I can Salute once again at the time I saluted yesterday, but will only get that one salute back, or all three?

I beleive you wil have to wait 24 hours for all three, (not sure) I have to experience it myself too. In the meantime you can still use the old rep system.

I not 100% sure, but each salute is independent. This means that if you give one salute, it will come back in 24 hours, while the other two have their own individual time-lines. I think that made some sense, didn't it?

Thanks Skipper, Right now I only have one rep power (will change next month with one year service to the forums) so I've been trying to use the Salute for the one's I wish I could give more to.

Makes perfect sense to me. Thanks Otto

Otto, will we be able to tell people why we saluted like we can with rep points?

No Michelle, but you still have the rep points ability with comments.

Yes, but if you salute someone (which shows in public) then you try to add rep (which is private and can carry a message), then you can't.

Another limitation I find: why can't I salute myself, eh? :D

Looking up four posts above, where's Peppy hiding after all?

Peppy is sadly retired from the Forums. There was too much Za for him to handle. (I jest!)

The reason you can't Salute yourself, Za, is because God kills a Kitten every time the Red Rabbi gets Saluted. We don't want PETA running around this place, so have disabled that ability.

According to the local clergy, if you salute yourself, you will go blind. . . . ;)

Those two posts above certainly indicate a shift of this forum's orientation towards WW2Comedy :)

FYI for the Rogues at Large: Due to a few questions I've received via PM, I've added a brief, one-image tutorial to the first post in this thread concerning Salutes and where to find the Salute icon. I hope it helps!

Otto, I dont get a salute icon at bottom right....No problem, I always had trouble saluting in real life...was always getting called back and told to use the whole hand and not just the 3 fingers....well I was a scout too...Is it cos I is a clown? Id love to salute fellow clowns such as ZA but he will just have to take it as read that I cant but he can certainly salute me back....Ill just content myself with placing my hat on head and nodding in agreement.

And sir,If memebers can salute them self, there's no point having a salute program. Every one will be just saluting them selfs for no reason ,like i would of done. I would of saluted myself 1000 times by now HEHEHE:D
