Good Day, I am James Victor from the Philippines. You can call me Scagger Eleven cause that is my call sign in the military. I am 25 years old and I have been interested in World War 2 history since when I was 7. I am more interested about the Pacific Theater. I want to know more about different types of weapons used in the Pacific from Small Arms to Aircraft. I have some knowledge about the war in the Philippines and some famous World War 2 landmarks. My current hobby relating to world war 2 is scale modelling. Before I conclude I would just like to share a photo of mine which was taken some time ago in our neighborhood. An Unknown object was found which is estimated to be dating back from World War 2. Our neighborhood is located near a former military base and Japanese World War 2 Garrison. I would like to ask some folks if they find the object shown below familiar. The object was hollow on the inside with small amount of white phosphorus found. One end of the object is open (but is filled with mud and soil) while the other end is closed shut with hard substance similar to concrete with one tiny hole in the middle. I'm looking forward for someone to debunk what is this thing.
Welcome. I don't have a clue as to what the object is, hopefully one of the experts will stumble along in a while with an answer.
Welcome on board. Interesting object. No idea what it is. There are on line docuements I believe that tell you how to identify potential explosive objects though. If it had some phosphorus it might fit. Of course it could be a jury rigged object of some sort (smoke pot?).
A warm welcome to the site Scagger Eleven, great to have you! That said, for God's sake do not manhandle anything you dig up from the WWII era, (or any other war era). I strongly advise against moving, touching, breathing on, anything that might be ordnance. My advice it to call the authorities and have them inspect it.
Welcome to the Forums Scagger! I agree with Otto, I would call the authorities to make sure you aren't dealing with something dangerous.
