Nice work, Yan. I could add that there also was a type of MG platoon With the water-cooled Colt 1918 MG.

As a curiosity, when the Madsen machine gun was introduced in the beginning of WW1 it was organized in 4-squad platoons (1 Madsen in each squad). These platoons consisted of more than 30 men, had their own cook and a horse cart with its driver and field kitchen.

Auxilliary personnel (like cooks) was armed with the Nagant revolver in 7.5 mm calibre.

The Colt .45 pistol was Norwegian-manufactured (Kongsberg M/1914) on license from Colt. One of only two types made outside the US, the other being the Argentinian version.

The rifles were Norwegian-manufactured Krag-Jörgensens, the same type as used by the US before the Springfield '03.

Thanks for the salute and info Fredleander, the 47mm m/40 platoon mortar was a strange one I dont know if it was a Swedish make or a copy of an other weapon, I have little or no data on it. The Danes used a variety of Madsens from 8mm to 20mm,
    8mm m/24 Madsen LMG
    8mm m/29 Madsen MMG
    20mm m/28 Madsen HMG
    20mm L/60 m/29 Madsen ATG
    20mm L/60 m/35 Madsen AAG
These are the ones I have on file, I dont know if they are all correct or the same weapon.
    Regards Yan.

The mortar I don't know about but the Madsen was in 6,5 mm - same as the Krag rifle. Very handy weapons in its time. 30 rounds gravity-fed box machine. Curiosity: When the Germans occupied the Narvik area they equipped their stranded naval personell with these weapons from the Norwegian arsenal in Bjerkvik (Elvegårdsmoen). Uniforms, too.

The Norwegian army also had an 81 mm mortar, I believe.
