I just started collect WWII items and got this document and book. Have anyone seen something like this before and know what it is?
The document is a certification that the person earned the qualification to operate a motorized water vehicle as a requirement for apprenticeship as engineer on a naval vessel.
Milleniumgorilla: Thanks alot for the reply and now i know what it is! Is it... "Rare" or is there alot of these around?
Would you be so kind and link the site you saw this on? And do you think this is the right part in the forum "photografs and documents" if i want to know more about it?
The law is actually still around. Here is the link to the current version which won't differ that much from the historical version most likely. http://www.bgbl.de/Xaver/start.xav?startbk=Bundesanzeiger_BGBl ( 1975 No 109.4) Well I don't collect militaria, so I cannot say if it is the right category. I believe this is the correct place for this post. I can't read it, nor am I a collector, but I feel that you've come to the right place.
