Sidney Goldstein was a warrant officer in the 773rd Tank crusher division. (That is all i know right now)
I checked the 773rd docs posted here: http://tankdestroyer.net/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=272:773rd-tank-destroyer-battalion&catid=44:battalions700s&Itemid=102 but we (I work on this site) don't have a lot of records and no roster from 44/45. Didn't find his name but that doesn't mean much with limited resources available. Does your Grandmother have any of his papers? I would be interested to know more about him. U.S. TD units are my main interest in WWII. Later on: I see you left a note in the Guestbook so you've already checked the unit records.
i sent the request to the national archives, we'll see what comes up, i will keep you ( and your website ) updated.

Look here http://www.wwiimemorial.com/default.asp?page=registry.asp&subpage=search&drawtable=YES. The photo you posted is the same one you posted. There are several Sidney Goldsteins that are commemorated. Click on each of them to see if they are the same as your grandfather.
