Anyone here have it? Came out in 2003 i believe -WWII Game. Control a squad of 6 soldiers (your character plus 5 others that you can choose from for each mission). Not exactly historical, but still pretty fun if you ask me. Havent played more then a few hours of either scenario, but battles are challenging though the weapons i hope to steal should help me with that. graphics are pretty good too - you use a grenade it disapears from your soldiers body, same with clips etc.
Would be a fantastic game, if it wasn't for the bugs associated with levelling up, the silly arcade cliche of getting better weapons as time goes by (outside of historical weapons research, I am talking about the pistol-shotgun-rifle-rocket launcher weapons progression that shows up in far too many games) and the crappy sci-fi stuff that ruins it later on. Not to mention the little flaws like the wierdness of how explosives work, the wierdness with picking locks, the often-bizarre weapons stats, etc. But the engine itself and the combat are fantastic. It's the sort of game that to a nit-picky so-and-so like myself is rendered awful by my mind's incessent cataloguing of all the things that could have been better.
