Bull’s eye on a Japanese ship depriving enemy forces in Burma of badly needed supplies. The vessel was steaming across the Bay of Bengal, south of Rangoon, when she was spotted by U.S.A.A.F. aircraft. Swooping over the 7000 ton ship, the American planes dived low and dropped their bombs. This remarkable photograph, taken just after a big explosion had occurred, shows boats pulling away and another swung out on the davits waiting to be lowered as the crew take to the water.
