Great site very informative only one thing I didnt like, they didnt shoot the weapon Looks like videos the Americans would have shown to soldiers before going over to Europe. Also shows how easily the barrel can be removed from the Mg-42
wow these vids are great and show a few things I never knew Like the grenade booby trap or the fact that the mg 34 is actually better in some ways than the 42 which was designed more for production easy, though with a few field mods. I like the way the mg34 is also capable of single shots to mimic a rifleman, which could be a nasty trap to fall into notice they are missing the sights on the captured mortar? I didn't realise they dropped their airborne from such a low altitude unlike what I have seen of the US and UK airborne landings of WW2. FNG
If you see one of those videos they shoot the mg from the shoulder of another soldiers, I have seen a painting of the Germans doing that. Coincidently they use some of the same footage as the videos that had a link posted to.
This video shows a couple German AT weapons. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iJ8-9iy_ ... ed&search= Edit: There was one complaint about the Mg-34 it couldn't be fired with German winter gloves.
