This is an American Internation or UPI Press Photo showing a member of the 1st SS Panzer Division: LSSAH Leibstandarte SS Adolf Hitler: Of special note on this photo is the wrong captioning on the backside which states something like: "Eastern Europeans are some of Hitlers "hatchet men" who were apart of the military. The person writing his brief statement obviously did not know that no non-German--ever served in Hitlers premier SS unit. Combat somewhere on the Eastern Front. Of note--the close call by these soldiers hunkered down and just barely being missed by that shell explosion:
