With Trump in charge, I'm thinking more of Spaceballs and the "Combing the desert" scene.

Actually Ronbo didn’t call it Star Wars. The media did, like with the Titanic being unsinkable, the Maginot Line being unpeneratrable and the B-17 called the Flying Fortress.

The one who called it Star Wars was Teddy Kennedy, the media picked up on it from there, and the rest is history.

lets be honest. this aint your dads airforce.
the new tech is amazing. just the stuff we know about.
the B2 uses some weird tech.
its not just "angles and paint".
    who knows what else.
space force is a great idea.
start from scratch, leave the old guard out of it.

    Well at least there could be a better name. Space Force...so blasé. Here’s a few suggestions;

    Galaxy Force
    Universal Force
    Star Force
Star Fleet (that might be patented)
Black Holers (cool, but no so PC)
    Milky Way Men
    Intergalactic Force
    Extra-Terra Force
    Solar System Force (nah)

    And my personal fav....Interstellar Force!

Logo infringement or weak effort? Will the holder of the Star Trek copyright sue? Don is famous for "So sue me" but I doubt it will be challenged.

Don and I are the same age and at different levels I worked the same business in NYC. I've seen him the news for 40 years and we've both rubbed shoulders with the mob.

My guess is that he chose that logo because he saw it and liked the TV tie and as a marketing bonus the logo was already familiar to millions of voters. The guy is the best marketer in history, IMHO

    Slick

I think star trek ‘borrowed’ the general idea off NASA originally...
