What if the SS over threw Hitler and the man who did was Reinhard Heydrich let say in May 1941 what would have been the repercussions of this action in Germany and how would the rest of the world reacted to the news?
In 1941 Hitler was at the peak of his power so not very likely anybody tried to take the power at that moment, and especially not the SS, I think. However any kind of power struggle would have led to civil war, I´d suppose. The rest of the world would have been rather happy of any inside struggle in the Reich.
Well lets say the SS regarded Hitler as a dangerous person who could bring down the Reich after all Hitler said "I conduct my life like a sleepwalker on a tightrope" something along those lines I can not remember the exact saying.
In any case Wehrmacht would not watch this and considering the numbers of troops in Wehrmacht vs SS, Wehrmacht would win. And I don´t think Himmler would watch Heydrich make any bigger plans alone.
Reinhard Heydrich was a threat to Himmler and when he was out the picture in the spring of 1942 Himmler was glad but of course not showing that in public. Can some clear up a matter is it true that Reinhard Heydrich kept files on everyone even Hitler?
