can anyone explain why my authentic non-SS armband has an SS RZM tag? here is the armband with tag...AHF and War Relics forums did not have any confirmed answers
here is a picture from Himmler's Black Order of an SS RZM tag ......and picture of an SS armband for reference
All of that stuff had to be approved by the Reich's Ministry ...kind of a cross between copyright and war rationing. So it would have a tag regardless of being for the SS or not.
roger that..as usual for the Germans, very thorough, orderly, etc........some do not have the ''SS '' on the tags, though....they maybe just used what tags they had available? thanks for the reply
Are you getting forgetful? http://forum.axishistory.com/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=198970 Sorry, but I remembered this thread from awhile ago. I don't post in that sub-section - just read. But, man, do you collectors have some really interesting items.
no test from me..... I don't think there was a confirmed answer in there.[ I mentioned AHF in the first post above ].......and Skipper's bottle thread reminded me of this odd RZM tag....I think AHF mentioned this as odd because of the SS tag......I have a great collection from my Uncle...have you seen it?? Jug, also, has anyone seen the SS RZM tags on other non-SS items ?? yes, AHF was not as friendly as you guys
