I just finished remaking a usable m40 helmet shell into a reenactor helmet. I got a post war liner for about ten bucks on ebay the hardware from reddick and some flat green paint, the hardware was more expensive than I thought but its ok and the thing looks pretty good. The shell was left behind in Norway by the German Army. I got it on ebay for around 60 dollars, plus I have an m35 helmet comple unaltered in really good shape that I bought for 25 dollars. the owners did not know what they had- its twin went for 610 on ebaY THE OTHER DAY
