Remeber the whole Galaxy they are in is more advanced, also note that they have experience with this kind of shield as they also use the simular shields for there underwater world...

Yeah, I'm fine with them having high-tech - an underwater city with force-field airlocks must allow that - but why the ridiculously low-tech arrangements of catapults, and a logistics system based on carts pulled by slow-moving dinosaurs?
Such a blend is just odd.

human casualties , ah the storm troopers are clones , like the ones from episodes 2 and 3 , and their human , and when the death star blew , it took a lot of them with it , most of the rebels were humans , etc

I'm starting to really feel like I'm banging my head against a brick wall here :-? . OK, one more time...

I was refering to Episode I : The Phantom Menace.

NOT the prequels as a whole.
NOT Star Wars as a whole.
    NOT Episode II.
    NOT Episode III.
    NOT Episode IV.
    NOT Episode V.
    NOT Episode VI.

    JUST Episode I.

I have said that there are certainly plenty of Lifeform Deaths in Episode IV, V and VI both witnessed (Storm troopers getting shot, X-wings exploding, etc) and implied (Death Stars exploding, Alderan (Sp?) exploding). I have also said that I have not seen Episode II all the way through and have not seen Episode III at all (Nor am I likely to until its DVD release) so I cannot comment on the content of either of those, nor was I trying to.

My comment about lifeform deaths was restricted solely to Episode I.

Heck, even in Episode 2 you do not see people/animals dying. In the big droid/Jedi fight, no Jedi is seen to fall, but lots of Jedi are later seen lying dead on the ground.

In the big battle scene, how many clone troopers are actually seen to be shot, and how many robots?

The original 3 films (4, 5 & 6) were very good & realistic in many ways (even the equoipment used was dirty & dented, a nice touch). Not the new ones. All far too sanitised.

Hey Simonr1978,think about how many toasters were deep-sixed when the Death Stars blew.

    Women love him!

    Toasters fear him!

I'm really starting to wish I'd never said that, or the toaster comment for that matter!

It was simply one reason I gave why I thought Episode I : The Phantom Menace wasn't a particularly good film.

Don't worry about it.It was a humorous break in a topic that was getting a bit heated. We'll forget about the topic, but the toaster situation will last a bit longer in our memories.

Actually, more than one Jedi is shown biting the dust, including one that was shot up in the stands and fell to the arena floor.

Jabba Fett shot a jedi in clear sight , and the jedi fell backwards off the balconey. Those robots must be pretty crappy , in clone vs droid combat I must of seen dozens of droids blown to pieces , and possibly 1 or 2 clones fall down , another thing those droids seems preety frail and weak

Obi Wan leaving him there alive in that state was a bit unexpected - not the kind of thing you've been led to expect a Jedi to do.
