I am after photos, informations, drawings, anything which would help me in further detailing the interiors of my StuG III Ausf G (Dragon). I am stuck, and You know what a modeler means with "stuck"; another addition to the "temporary unfinished models" box! I particularly need help with reference to the ammo box (did they all have it in the front right and which size, which position etc etc) and a pipe that goes (making a 90* angle and running parallel to the left side) from the back to the fron (see Stug III interiors - Armchair General and HistoryNet >> The Best Forums in History ) Any help...would help! Thank U
Try: Armorama :: Book Review: StuG III G Walk Around by Scott Espin Diorama StuG III, "Grüße von der Ostfront" Hauptmann Müller als Kommandant StuGAbt 191
That pipe's got me scratching my head too. Only seems to appear on certain ausf. G's and not present in any labelled plan or diagram I have. Looking at the Achtung Panzer interior shots of the littlefield Stug (which I'm sure you've seen) it seems to run from the drivers compartment before continuing under the radios and disappearing through the bulkhead. Cooling air to the brakes? (seems to head in that direction in the drivers area) Air intake? (perhaps too complex a solution) Compartment heating? Worth trying to work out exactly what it connects to in that area of the engine compartment? Hopefully someone will come along that knows, because it's annoying me slightly now... In all the interior shots of IIIG's I have, the Ammunition ready racks are in the same right-hand position, handy for the loader. Cheers, Adam.

Gee, and to think there used to be a large website entirely dedicated to AFV interiors, and it's now dead and gone!
AFV INTERIORS And don't we miss it! He's still got a page up with a 'contact me' link to provide the files, you never know, he could still be about, though 2004 is a while back. A few others around the web are still offering them on a request basis too.
I do not know if this will help you at all, but this is a pic i took. Looking inside from the drivers hatch. I think its a StuG.. If it is not, then it is the other pic i have. Lol
Dottoreaiuto, We appreciate your interest and do want to help you, but one thread on this subject is enough. I merged the two you created.
Thanks: You can see ...I am desperate. And actually it is after posting the first message which I tought the right place to post it was...the second, the modelling forum. Sorry about messing around.
'Tis alright, that is understandable. We often have people seeking information posting even more times than you did and doing it on purpose. We can live with a minor goof like your. I hope you were able to get the information you needed.
Try Missing Lynx; if you google "Stug III" in the photo mode, you should come up with a plethora of pics....Mind you, you'll have to sort through 20 pages or so of photos, but thats the way all the people helping you are doing it, so I thought I'd cut out the middle man for you.
