T-34 In German Markings Recovered From Lake...

Forgive me if this has already been discussed...I did a search and didn't find anything in other threads.

Anyways, I thought this was fascinating; A T-34 in captured german markings pulled from a lake, in "mint" preserved condition (!).

I have seen that before that tank was in such great condition I am truely amazed by the fact they actually got the engine to work after 60+years

 

Amazing. (I kind of doubt they started the engine though without a total rebuild since all the bearings would have been seized tight unless it was sealed somehow - any proof that it still ran?))

 

The fourth video shows it running, there is a site out there somewhere that details how much was done to get it going, not too much if I recall:
