Rommel had quite a few, they were useless.

Are you looking for anything specific?

Some Panzer I. were modified to Panzerjäger 1 and were used by the Panzerjäger-Abteilung 506 of the 21. Panzer-Division in Africa.

There were 26 x PzkPfw I in the 5th Panzer Regiment of 5th Leichte Divisione as at March 1941.

25 more arrived in May 1941. At least 10 these were converted into Ladungsleger and served with 33rd Pz Pio Battaillon.

605th PzJag Abt (not 506th) had 27 of the PanzerJaeger vehicles illustrated above at the same time. They received 9 more in May of the same year.

What else would you like to know?

I think they mean "Ladungsleger" which would translate "explosive charge (mine?) layer". This would explain why these vehicles were attached to the Pio (Pioniere = Engineers) Batallion.

Sorry. That extra 'd' I inserted threw a spanner in the works! (typical, some goons mis-spell loads of words per post & it matters not a jot. I get one wrong once in a while and............)

I am not sure of the breakdown between no's of I Ausf A & I Ausf B in N.Africa. But I think that I may have seen it somewhere. If I find it I will post it here, so watch this space.
