Tank Destroyer and 11th AAF patches

    Nice patches, it's always nice to have Airforce patches, but the tank one is cool too.

    That is the Tank Destroyers badge.

    Nice find.

    I'm assuming these came from trading/collecting. I don't know of a serving airman/soldier being issued both of these in WWII, but I guess it's possible.

    That is a 8 wheel Tank Destroyer patch. It is not common. Rich A. in Pa.

    My dad was in the Artillery, so I assume they were traded. I never found a 9th Corps or 1st Army. Here's an part of the Unit History that mentions both Air Force and Tank Destroyer units. In the Colorado Desert, in April through August of 1943, they were practicing maneuvers before heading East and on to England.
