I have no idea what to do (nationstates) And technically, my country is a region of space far away from Earth...meh whatever.

I tried nationstates, and I couldnt even get past the registration. Every nation name I came up with was invalid or allready taken.

My first try was accepted immediately...

Try "CSP-land", I'm sure that was never used.

I must say, after playing these games since they were posted here, that CN is far better.

Why? Because of how you control your nation. The pros and cons of having war or not having war are moot. I'm sure the UN forum can provide as much excitement as the diplomacy on CN. However, on CN you really get to build your nation - building, buying, trading, etc.

In Nationstates you get a daily issue to provide an answer for, and how you answer these dictate what your nation is like. Trouble is, the outcome gets rather extreme...

    Silly example:

Your national animal is having a population boom, and is becoming a pest. You can choose to:

    a) hunt it with dogs (inhumane)
    b) hunt it in a more efficient/humane way
    c) let them run wild
    d) dismiss the issue (ie: don't give an answer)

I chose b), and the next day my nation bio said "Tanks are used to hunt down and destroy the national animals"

    Serious example:

Several protest rallies have got out of control recently, with fighting etc etc. You can:

    a) Let it happen. Freedom is key!
    b) Allow rallies to happen, but have a decent police prescence, just in case
    c) Ban all rallies. I Know better than them anyway.
    d) dismiss the issue (ie: don't give an answer)

I chose b), and my 'Political Freedoms' went from "Excellent" to "Below Average" in one fell swoop.

So I have caught myself deliberately either choosing different answers from what I would pick, or ignoring issues I have a stance on, simply because I can tell what warped outcome will happen to my nation if I pick a particular option.

It's no way to run a game. :bang:

yes, i have felt problem with that. in NS u just pick an anwser to a daily issue and then your preetty much done till the next day. In CN u actually trade, build, declare war, and loads of other stuff. A lot better.

Renamed topic. Origianlly "try This, its fun"

I was thinking that if it's possible we could start our own alliance. Many websites have done so and some have gone on to be some of the most powerful alliances in the game. Like factory workers, students, and sportclub men in WW1 this could be our "Pal's Battaltion".

The only concern is that there are not enough people on this forum to participate, but I think we could get that to change if it is a problem. I really hope we can run with something here.

What do you think of the idea ?

Setting up an alliance for the forum sounds like a good idea.

    Why not join www.tribalwars.net ?
    World 3, tribe OT.
Me and Roel are already there.
It's one of the major forces on that world and currently growing even faster then normally thanks to a virtual world war.

Tribal wars sounds cool. I think I'll join that. Cybernations is a more modern version with tanks, airplanes, etc.

Ricky, I'm in the Atalntic Shadow Confederation, which is a bunch of Pirates. I can quit later on if need be.

I've signed up there, with the village name Metropolitania (which is also my nations name in CN).

    On Cybernations I'm U.R.B(Brighton)

    On tribal wars I'm Pattonville

Both sites are good and have things I like about them. I encourage members to join both sites. I really want to get a cybernations alliance on the go, though
