At least 10 dead dozens injured... St. Petersburg subway blast: At least 10 killed, security camera could hold clues
Thoughts to those affected, dead, injured, family and friends. As always it is the innocent individuals who are targeted and suffer.
10 lives lost because of someone's crazy ideals. It begins to feel like it's just regular news. My condolences to their families.
Found out about an hour ago that all my relatives and friends are safe. Thank god. Another senseless act of terror.
Good to hear that your folks are fine. It's always tough to hear of a tragedy occurring when you are far away and can't get word fast enough of their status. I think that the US and Russia should team up and go after the shithooks of the world instead of being adversaries.
Thanks guys. I must say tho, I do find the following unfortunate... As Russia mourns the St. Petersburg victims, European solidarity sidelined - CNN.com Not surprising, Israel was one of the first and only countries to light up the Russian flag. I believe Serbia and Belarus followed. Dresden too disagreed with Berlin.
All this hashtag \ nonsense in social media and 'sympathy' for terrorist or natural disasters is just a load of crap and worthless. Without any great effort, a country or individual can be seen to be caring but not give a stuff a second later. Their job is done until the next 'crocodile tears' opportunity arises.
Israel is run by as big a group of thugs as Russia so no surprises here. However innocent bystanders of whatever Nationality should not be treated differently just because of how their Countries are run and what they stand for..
Unfortunate yes, but perhaps not that surprising. Several factors may be at play here, a 'terrorism' fatigue where these kind of attacks have become all too regular like bouts of destructive weather and as toki2 points out such acts do not seem to have any real effect on the greater program. It doesn't help with the view of the Putin administration and events in Crimea, Ukraine, Syria and the hubbub over the US and European elections. While it isn't altogether fair, we have a hierarchy of concern over bad events and whom it happens to.
We now live in a world of instant news and rapid response and need to learn to separate the wheat from the chaff.
