.....based on the true story of Eric Erickson [ played by William Holden ] who spied for the Allies by going to Germany ...well, it's not an action/super suspenseful movie...some people would even call it boring.....but it is filmed on great locations in Germany, Denmark, Sweden...... ....most of it is dialogue .....Lilli Palmer from Operation Crossbow does a great job---and explains why people have to do what they do in war .....what I find interesting/etc was the son of one of Erickson's German friends ..the son is a very dedicated hitlerjugend !! ..he wants to inform on one of his classmates that he thinks is not dedicated to the Fatherland.....he is suspicious of Erickson and everything ....he plays the hitlerjugend so well, it's almost comical .....a slow moving film.....but William Holden does a fine job, as usual....locations help it out Eric Erickson (spy) - Wikipedia The Counterfeit Traitor (1962) - IMDb
