I agree, no. 1 it is! I can't remember many films where the sequel(s) was better than the first.

See Dr. Zhivago II, for instance.

The first one was the best. The final mission was terrible. Gag!

Have to agree with the majority of you Gents, I liked the Original Dirty Dozen movie the best. The second was OK and even had a few decent and recognizable "Faces" in it but, it still can't hold a candle to the original. I saw only one of the other sequals, and though I like Telly Savalas, those all sucked Prune Pits. :wolf:

I sat through Fatal Mission awhile back, I must have been bored because it stunk. Heather Thomas co-starred as an GI[yeah, ok, a woman GI] and also Erik Estrada of CHIPS fame.
That shoulda told me something right there, what did Estrada ever star in the didn't stink.
Telly looked like he was 60 years old.

Wow. I never knew that The Dirty Dozen had any sequels and, based on the commentary, I wish I was still in the dark. And for anyone who has watched anything with Erik Estrada, especially but not exclusively after CHipS ended its run, you really do need to hang your head in shame! ;-)

I was just teasing. I will try to find the second film, but I think I will really need to be desperate to go to the third if it really features Erik Estrada . . . .

I did get to thinking about sequals that I have enjoyed, however, and I seem to recall that Force 10 from Naverone was a fun film to watch. It has been a long team but I think that was a decent sequal.

I wouldn't buy those Dirty Dozen sequels unless you saw them first. If you have cable TV, lots of times different channels run DD marathons.
Force 10 wasn't "bad", just nothing compared to the original. And nowhere near as corny as the DD sequels....IMO.

Hi DG, I don't know if your in this Country or not but, there is available on DvD, the original Dirty Dozen movie, and then the sequal. I think it's a 2-disc set and I remember buying it at Best Buy for about $14 bucks. You can find them for sale at DeepDiscount.com - DVDs, Blu-ray, HD DVD, CDs, Books, Video Games and more Now if you live outside the USA, I don't know if they ship overseas or not? or whether or not your played will play them?

    Hope this helps?

    Take care and best regards-Carl.

That's a good reminder on the video regional settings. My sister in Virginia once sent me some videos but my local player can't read them because of the regional settings. Argh!
The only version I've seen for sale here of the Dirty Dozen is the original movie. I haven't seen any of the sequels in the video stores.

Hi Falcon, try giving Deep Discount a try and see if they will ship to you? I think they do-but not sure? Anyway, you can I guess, make a copy of it from your computer? A good friend of mine here in the States was able to make DvD copies of the movie: "Dunkirk" for me-even though the VHS was a region 2 tape. The DvD I have is region 0.
