Has anyone else here read The Good War: An Oral History of World War II, by Studs Terkel?

It's a collection of two or three page interviews by Terkel of people's recollections of WW II. He's written a few excellent books in this format on other topics, too.

One ironic anecdote I remember from the book was an account of people dying from gunshot wounds that were fired in celebration of the end of WW II!
