This bridge was the last one over the rhine,that was controlled by the wehrmacht.During operation plunder,the wehrmacht destroyed this one.The bridge never got repaired after the war.... Great photos. Many bridges have faced the same fate and were never repaired after the war. The one I can remember from Germany was the Ludendorff Bridge. There's even a movie about it The Bridge at Remagen filmed in 1969.
