Seems like old 80´s bands are running out of money. They never visited Finland the first time around! 1.3. Toto 6.3. Depeche Mode Got tickets for the March shows but hoping to get ones for these ( should not be a problem ) 2.4. Simple Minds 4.4. Morrissey
WoW! That takes me back, Kai! Simple Minds were here some time ago, but I missed them. Will have to look out for the other ones. Morrissey is on his own? Not with The Smiths??? Toto should be great!
Actually, these guys are the last ones I saw live!! Seems they have hit the big time, big time....that's crazy money (! no pun intended) !!!
Toto was excellent last night and finished with "Africa" of course! Definitely worth checking if you have the chance!
On Monday in the Depeche Mode concert which was great as well! The new material in my opinion works well in the concerts. --------- Guns´n roses should visit Finland this summer as well. We´ll see if they stay together that long...
I've heard from promoters here that Axel Rose is the most troublesome individual in show business. He is between 1 and 2 hours late for every concert, if he shows up at all. His (ar ar) crowds have to be big enough, and excited enough (for his of the moment mood) or he wont come out at all. Everything has to be his way...2-block heilocopter rides, entaurages, refreshments, groupees/h_sebags, and butt smooching for a person of the calibur he believes he is. I like some of his songs, and have learned to play a few, but I'll never buy his work, or see one of his concerts. (unless I aquire free tickets)(then I may just sell um anyway).
A great show by Queensryche and some 2,000 diehard fans there as well. I must say I was proud of us Finns because we knew the lyrics so well....
Billy played his golden oldies and a couple of newer songs and "rebel yell" does sound good still today! Surprise surprise he played Van Halen´s "Jump" in the latter part of the concert...Great song as well!
Oh my gosh - I remember him playing the Roundhouse with Generation X the night they smashed up all their instruments.....
Wasn´t that quite typical of the bands back then, Martin? I mean who DIDN`T smash their equipment after the gig?? Just glad did not go to Guns n´roses concert in Finland yesterday or today. Just heard Axl came to the concert yesterday only 1 hour 45 mins late...Like he usually does...
I stumbled upon a Steely Dan show the other day here in Pittsburgh. VIP passes and all. Free. Was a great show. Those guys have quite a catalog of songs to chose from. Later
Pink was excellent and 50 cent even better as the crowd went totally mad about 50 cent. ANyway, just felt a bit sad as 50 cent performed for an hour and 10 minutes, and no encores.
just listened to Dragonlord in my quarters...a good song to listen to is "Until the End". A nice melodic and symphonic metal song. The founding member is from Testament!
Unholy Alliance yesterday; Lamb of God, Children of Bodom, In Flames and... wait for it... the mighty SLAYER! What can I say, propable the best tour in the world
