'The Longest Day' was definitely 'shot' in B&W ; it even won an Oscar for 'Best Photography - Black and White' in its' year.

But I don't know if it has subsequently been 'colour-enhanced' by computer, anyone else know ? Carl ??

Weve had this one before chaps, definately in colour Im afraid, I have both copies b and w and colourised version.

Sort of grainy green effect keeps it subtle rather than overpowering and done like that on purpose I think.

    TLD in colour!?!
NO thanks! I saw the Fighting Seebees in "colour" on tv a while ago, and also It's A Wonderful Life. Both were completely wasted by being tampered with, IMHO.
Prefer B&W classics to be left like that.

    Regards,
    Gordon

The Longest day HAS MOST Definiteley been redone in color.

Horrible as it may be, (i apted to choose the B&W when i bought my copy *yea, i had the option*)

remember, there are many kids who will hate movies right off because 'they are black and white'
