    Hey,
Have any of you heard of the new novel coming out called "The Plot Against America" by Philip Roth? It's an alternative history that examines what might have happened if Charles Lindbergh was elected president. As you probably know, Lindbergh was an isolationalist and, some believe, facist. His promise is to keep the US out of the war, and we do stay out. He then institutes the Homestead Act of '42 where Jewish communities are broken up and sent to rural parts of the country :( . It's a pretty bleak book, but looks like an interesting read. Don't know when it comes out, though.

An earlier book with a similar theme is Sinclair Lewis's It Can't Happen Here.
