Found these, thought they might be of interest...couldn't find a yank one haha...!
I've always liked those "This man is your FRIEND" posters, it really shows WWII was a global conflict.
The ones I've seen have all been marked with a line at the bottom giving instructions for requesting additional copies. You had to send it to "Graphics Division, Office of Facts and Figures, Washington D.C." (bold is mine). Given that the publishers and target audience was the US of A, I can't imagine they made one with an American on it.
Well there you go...I thought it was for a European market...So it was for the Serving Americans?
(Stop shooting the shit out of everything you mob! These blokes are friends...) sort of thing..?
I guess the recoil from that Boys A/T rifle knocked out the English soldiers' tooth.........
I thought it was Sean Connery in The Longest Day at first
Translation. English =British.
The Pom reminds me of Shrek...
Don't forget the Yugoslav woman.
My local Aussie theme pub has the "Ring of Beauforts" one framed and hanging in the bar.
One of these nights, it's going to get "liberated"...
Gordon...Australia made its own Beauforts, but we had a problem with the tail section...the tail kept failing and ripping off...the company thought they had fixed the problem and invited the media to watch and report on the display to prove the tail's worthiness...and this happnened...
Oh, bloody hell.
