It's been about ten years since I've built a 1/35 scale AFV.I suddenly feel
inspired by PanzerProfiles efforts with his Panther G.I thought it was kinda cool to have other members get involved with the project.
I thought it would be a good idea for the members to pick out a tank AND a color schemeand I'll build, paint and post pics of the finished product.
What do you guys think?Post your ideas and one week from today we'll see what gets built.

I could be really cruel and suggest a Chieftan in 'Berlin' colours (the overlapping squares of white/blue/ect)...
    ;)

How about a British tank? Churchill, maybe? God knows you never see any of those.

Sounds like a nice idea... maybe a Panther G to begin with? :p  just for comparison! lol

Well to be honest, I've always wanted to see a model of a Hummel, but I never got one on 1:72 scale but I know they exist on 1:35 scale. So you would do me a big favour by making one of those...

I'm with Danyel on this - how about a Churchill?
Maybe make it 'interesting' by doing an AVRE, or paint it up in Soviet colours.

Churchill Crocodile, with trailer! That would look really nice in dark green D-Day colors...

OK guys, this is what we have so far:
    1.Chieftain 'Berlin' colors. (1 vote)
    2.Churchhill (2 votes)
    3.Crocodile D-day Colors (1 vote)
    4.Panther G (1 vote)
    5.Hummel (1 vote)

It would help if you guys could post pics of the color schemes.I have no idea what 'Berlin' or AVRE colors look like.Personally,I love a challenging paint job.

    Thanks

Do you want a dirty tank or a clean one?
Do you want a telling diorama or just the tank?

Well it's a very nice model any way! strange way of camouflaging a tank though.
hey by the way maybe we should take a poll for the problem of which tank to make!

Depending on which tank is chosen,I'll do a diorama.A desert or winter diorama could be a bit dull, but you never know.As for the look of the vehicle,I usually give it a slightly weathered look. For a project like this,I'll pull out all the stops.

I see we have another vote for the hummel... :D

But another non German vehicle would do the job just as well, I guess. They are nice too you know ;)
