It's been about ten years since I've built a 1/35 scale AFV.I suddenly feel inspired by PanzerProfiles efforts with his Panther G.I thought it was kinda cool to have other members get involved with the project. I thought it would be a good idea for the members to pick out a tank AND a color schemeand I'll build, paint and post pics of the finished product. What do you guys think?Post your ideas and one week from today we'll see what gets built. Later SturmTiger
I could be really cruel and suggest a Chieftan in 'Berlin' colours (the overlapping squares of white/blue/ect)...
Sounds like a nice idea... maybe a Panther G to begin with? just for comparison! lol Well to be honest, I've always wanted to see a model of a Hummel, but I never got one on 1:72 scale but I know they exist on 1:35 scale. So you would do me a big favour by making one of those...
I'm with Danyel on this - how about a Churchill? Maybe make it 'interesting' by doing an AVRE, or paint it up in Soviet colours.
OK guys, this is what we have so far: 1.Chieftain 'Berlin' colors. (1 vote) 2.Churchhill (2 votes) 3.Crocodile D-day Colors (1 vote) 4.Panther G (1 vote) 5.Hummel (1 vote) It would help if you guys could post pics of the color schemes.I have no idea what 'Berlin' or AVRE colors look like.Personally,I love a challenging paint job. Thanks SturmTiger

Well it's a very nice model any way! strange way of camouflaging a tank though. hey by the way maybe we should take a poll for the problem of which tank to make!
Depending on which tank is chosen,I'll do a diorama.A desert or winter diorama could be a bit dull, but you never know.As for the look of the vehicle,I usually give it a slightly weathered look. For a project like this,I'll pull out all the stops.
Nah, Danyel is right - do something non-German for a change... (*shocked* - I'm agreeing with Danyel! )
I see we have another vote for the hummel... But another non German vehicle would do the job just as well, I guess. They are nice too you know
