trying to find information on my great granddad Stanley Rhodes

    My great granddad was in the parachute regiment in 13.6.44 -1947. He was a private his service number is 14781671. I have been on the paradata website nothing on him and there is no photos of him and forces war records and still nothing on him. We have his discharge papers and we have a piece of paper from 1944- 1945 of where hes been and the dates but can read everything on it. :mad: He also was a batman when he was in Palestine.

    We have done the MOD just waiting for them to tell us stuff but we don't think they will tell us everything.

    I can't quite make out what battalion he was in. Is it the 7th Battalion ?

    His service records will tell you all the units he was posted to during his service. Knowing all the units he was with will help you research where he was during the war and what his unit was doing.

    He was never in Normandy .... would be easier if he was :(
