    Goodday,

I have an object which is German, but I cannot tell the function of it, despite my research on the web.

The pictures say more then words, so look at them please :

There are letters in the basket : hck14 WaA14

It belonged to my grandfather, which was at Eastern Front, but I don't know he used this.

It is for sale, and people tend to give a lot for it, so I presume it is rare. What is it's actual value according to you?

I also apologize for my poor English, i'm Dutch speaking...

It's a fuze setter, but I don't know it's type or origin. They show up on ebay all the time:

It looks like a Zundergerät .

Did your Opa really drag this useless and heavy item all the way home from the Ostfront with the advancing Russians and then through the anglo-american lines all the way to Holland .....?

You ought to make up a better story than that ........ sets up fuses....... and stories.

If it really belonged to him then you should keep it as a relic .

I don't know what the item is worth, and would not be prepared to tell you if I knew as we are not a valuation service here.

However, what I can tell you is that the leather pouch was manufactured by Georg Lerch of Berlin (WaA14).
