Could this be a track roller of a german tank, I know that after world war 2 many farmers used old Wehrmachts stuff, for example a Sdkfz. 251 to pull trailers and other equipment for agricultural work until the allied goverment took that away after a short periode. But they used for example wheels, tools, everything they could get from knocked out or abandoned tanks/vehicles of the Wehrmacht. So could this here be a track roller of a tank, which was used for whatever, I found it yesterday in our old granary at our farm. Regards, Che.
What is it? No doubt about it, I recognise this as a 1944 issue Hitler Jugend Frisbee, by the number of holes it can only be a Mk.5.
Depending on the size,I would agree.I counted 24 holes on the outside of the rim.Would that match a Panther?
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bockenem If I get the rest of it, I will do it soon Diameter: ca: 90 cm Thickness: 7,5 cm as already said 24 holes If it is a roadwheel of the Panther, it would be a nice and difficult job to restore it. Regards, Che
road wheel You could always put it on 'Ebay DE', they seem to have similar bits! They also seem to have many WW2 photos, please tell me Che, what is the position in Germany regarding family photos that are WW2 with NAZI emblems?
Re: road wheel It is forbidden to sell anything (daggers, photos, insignias etc), also to post world war 2 pictures with Nazi emblems in a german forum, even if most think that it is ridiculous, it had to be accepted. ^^ Nice one http://cgi.ebay.de/Panzer-Panther-Laufr ... dZViewItem Regards, Che.
That's not quite true. The law states that it is illegal to use the symbols, but it specifically allows owning and displaying of such items (for educational purposes, i.e. you're not allowed to walk through the street in an SS uniform).
Ok, but nevertheless it is not allowed to post ww2 pictures, which shows even just a small emblem, so it is quite nasty to edit every picture of the german navy, which shows a flag or the swastika for arieal recognition if you want to post it, for example to illustrate a special moment of the structure or the difference between the years in which the ships were equipped with new material. And that goes for all, the Luftwaffe planes and so on, it´s not the worst problem on the world but it is nasty. BTW you are not allowed to own Nazi daggers anymore, if I´m informed correctly. Regards, Che.
Ebay DE I've just downloaded these from Ebay DE. I just went Google to Ebay De, then WW2 and there were about 500 odds and sods, including WW2 photos with Nazi symbols. Whoops, would you believe that although I can download from DE I can't post on here! (I've just changed names and format. Note blacked out swastika on Labour Korps man!)
