The bat bomb was developed and tested by the US during World War II as an innovative new method of causing severe damage to Japanese infrastructure. The actual bat bomb device was a large bomb that didn't containing explosives, but had hundreds of bats strapped to incendiary devices. It was assumed that each bomb could contain up to 10,000 bats. The actual theory was that bats can carry more then their own wight. The bats would be released at a height of 1,000', where they would disperse into the darkness over a large area, since Bats always gather in numbers usually taking refuge in attics, and roofs of buildings. Built in timers would then ignite the bombs causing outbreaks of fire and confusion. Despite successful tests, it was never actively used. Maybe you can send A MSG to Clint to change the Heading to Bat Bombs, Just saying so same mistake does not happen again. Thank you for the heads-Up!
There is an excellent book on the subject, written by one of the biologists recruited to help develop the Bat Bomb. Quite funny. It was the development of the atomic bomb that spelled the end of development of the Bat Bomb.
