For those interested, there is a new vendor who is offering authentically reproduced WW-II Marine Corps, Navy and Coast Guard dog tags. This is the only vendor I am aware of that offers such a product.

His dog tags are of the correct pattern and are fabricated out of stainless steel. USMC/USN/USCG dog tags during World War II were only made out of stainless steel, brass, or Monel.

I ordered a set and am very pleased with them. These dog tags are
perfect for reenactors, living historians, and those who wish to wear period-correct dogs tags as a way of remembering and honoring family members and friends who served during during the Second World War.
