A Tamiya kit, 1/350 scale, 38” long. Took five days to complete. I used aftermarket decals to line off the deck. And the waterline paint is not accurate but I was lucky to get it straight one time. I did not use all the aircraft provided but tried to get the deck color true to the original. Someone said the kit contains 600 parts. I can’t verify as the box and instructions does not say, but there are one heck of a lot of them. IMG_0195.jpeg IMG_0203.jpeg IMG_0202.jpeg

I was talking to some recruits one time and the subject of ships' numbers came up.

"Isn't too much info for the enemy to have?"

"Don't worry, the numbers will be removed shortly after a war starts."

    "How do they do that?"

"The nuclear fireball will take care of it."

Real quiet for a while. :XD:
