Perusing the internet and my books for more information about the Panay led me to something that I had forgotten about. During the Japanese attack on the Panay, there was a newsreel cameraman by the name of Norman Alley and an Italian war correspondent, Luigi Barzini aboard the Panay. This led me to believe that there must be pictures of the attack somewhere. Well, I did not take me too long before I was able to locate a couple of sites which has some good pictures of the attack on the Panay and even a picture of the HMS Ladybird that had sustained damage from the Japanese artillery fire during the course of events.

A site with more information relating to the aftermath of the attack and newsreel footage of the attack itself can be found at the following site.
