USSR "HARNESS Armor" from WWII ? O.o

Hi! I found this thingy at my local antique store.

The store owner claims that this is a "Harness Armor" (some kind of metal bulletproof vest) that was used in WWI and WWII by russian forces.

He also claims that this armor was used in Stalingraid and that is why it has so much rust and damage.

If this armor isn't a fake, and in fact was used in the battle of Stalingrad i assume this is worth alot? I never even heard of WWII "Harness armors" so i got no idea if this is fake or not.

The price on the armor is 1000 kronor.
(111.008 USD) or (87.5627 EUR).
What do you think it's worth and do you think its real or a fake?

I don,t know if thats real but I know u.s. military had steel plated vests called flak jackets

 

They doe exist those armors. The german and russians had them.
I have take a picture of it in a museum in Belgium.
I think they where very special because there where much people taking photographs of them.

im glad you posted a picture of this armor Thompson, as I know nothing about it, but remember playing a WW2 video game years ago - and in it the germans used this armor ( I was'nt sure if it was actually used in WW2 or just invented for the game - so I did'nt want to say anything )




........but Kebabman if you can get a set of this armor for 87 euro - it's a steal!!
