V1 Rocket Display Omaka Airshow NZ 2017

    I personally didn't film these videos, I discovered them on You Tube. A V1 Rocket is launched and a Spitfire intercepts at the end.

    Looks nice - it's a 3/4 scale RC model powered by turbofans. And once again - the V1 wasn't a rocket.....

    Excellent show and I hope it will teach people that the V1 flew horizontally and should be called a cruise missile . The mistake comes from Vergeltungswaffe = reprisal weapon (generic term for both missile , rocket or any other weapon) which does not mention the specifcity.

    For our overseas friends who won't have the opportunity to cross the oceans, I suggest a similar display in the Somme (France) which great reproduction on site at the former V1 base at Avesnes-Chaussoy.
